Open Tryouts Slated At End Of October
MILWAUKEE (Sept. 15, 2009) — Marcel Feenstra became a goalkeeper for the Milwaukee Wave through an open tryout. Your chance to follow his path is coming.
Sign up for the annual open tryout for the Wave and Wave Armada at Uihlein Soccer Park, 7101 W. Good Hope Road, from Friday, Oct. 30 to Sunday, Nov. 1. There are two sessions Friday, two Saturday and one Sunday, with the first Friday session beginning at 10 a.m. The fee is $40, and the best players will be invited to train with the Wave through the first week of camp, Nov. 3-7.
The Wave are members of the National Indoor Soccer League and play a 20-game schedule beginning in November. Wave Armada, the Wave’s reserve team, will play in one or two leagues in addition to exhibitions, with a few games played at the U.S. Cellular Arena in conjunction with Wave games. Some Armada players will also be chosen to train with the Wave.
