Week 5: Todd Stoffel, Marathon High School
Todd Stoffel of Marathon High School has been named the Marshfield Clinic High School Coach of the Week, the clinic announced Tuesday.
Stoffel is in his eighth season as head coach and 11th with the Marathon program. After qualifying for the playoffs each of the last two seasons, the Red Raiders are off to a 7-0 start in 2009. By virtue of their 21-7 victory over previously unbeaten Stratford on Oct. 2, Marathon is now positioned atop the Marawood Conference standings as the post season approaches. Even more impressive was that Marathon’s win at Stratford handed the Tigers their first home loss since the 2001 season.
Stoffel and his staff oversee a program that includes 47 players. He is assisted by Adam Jacobson, Luke Jacobson, Joe Jenz, Brad Ness, Jeff Schneider and Gary Seubert.
Stoffel attended Auburndale (Wis.) High School, where he played football under head coach Dale Yakaites. He is a 1997 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse. He and his wife, Heather, have a daughter, Kendra, and a son, Nathan.
Marshfield Clinic is proud to recognize Coach Stoffel and his staff. For this award, Coach Stoffel will also receive a VIP ticket package from the Packers Radio Network and Marshfield Clinic.
