Bucks conclude workouts, depart for Las Vegas Summer League

Paul Imig Posted: July 10, 2009

St. Francis, WI - The Milwaukee Bucks wrapped up an intensive week of practices on Thursday and got ready to fly out to Las Vegas for Summer League.  The team kicks off a five-game schedule on Friday night against the Dallas Mavericks, and will also face Cleveland, Sacramento, Chicago, and Toronto.

Milwaukee’s roster is headlined by first round draft pick Brandon Jennings. 2009 second round pick Jodie Meeks will also be playing for the Bucks in Vegas, only a few days after signing a three-year deal with the team.

Recently-acquired Amir Johnson has been practicing with the team all week but was not originally scheduled to make the trip to Vegas.  But that plan changed after a conversation between Johnson and head coach Scott Skiles, and Johnson has now been added to the Summer League roster.

Joining the three newest Bucks will be second-year players Luc Richard Mbah a Moute and Joe Alexander.

Former Marquette point guard Dominic James was set to play for the Bucks in Vegas until a right knee sprain during Tuesday’s practice derailed those plans.

The Bucks roster will also include Salim Stoudamire (who is signed for the 2009-’10 season) and Milwaukee’s 2003 2nd round pick Szymon Szewczyk, as well as Chris Richard, Paul Delaney, Juan Palacios, Lorrenzo Wade, and Will McDonald.

You can watch all five of the Bucks’ Summer League games by subscribing to NBA Summer League Broadband for $14.99 through NBA.com.
